Privacy policy
Last updated 28 August 2026
Short version: this site has no analytics, no tracking pixels and no advertising. The only data I get is what you type into the contact form or send me directly.
Who handles your data
Ivan Senishin, an individual working as an independent developer, based in Ottawa, Canada. Privacy questions: ivan.senishin@gmail.com. I am the person accountable for this processing and the one who answers your requests - there is nobody in between.
What the contact form collects
Your name, a reply-to contact of your choice (Telegram or email) and your description of the project. Nothing else: your IP address and country are deliberately not included in the message.
The request reaches me as a Telegram message. It is not saved in any database on this site, because the site has no database.
The form is protected by Cloudflare Turnstile, which checks that a human is submitting it. Turnstile sees technical signals about the request, not the contents of your message.
What is collected automatically
As on any website, technical request data is processed: IP address, browser version, the page requested and the time of the request. These logs are kept by Cloudflare as the hosting provider, for delivering pages and protecting against attacks. I do not read or export them.
Why, and on what basis
The only purpose is to reply to you and discuss the work. I run no mailing lists, sell nothing and pass nothing to advertising networks.
The legal basis is your own step towards a possible contract: you write to me to discuss a project. For bot protection the basis is my legitimate interest in keeping the site working.
Who else receives the data
Cloudflare, Inc. (USA) - hosting, page delivery, bot protection and request logs.
Telegram - the channel through which messages and form submissions reach me. Messages are stored on Telegram servers under their terms.
Nobody else. There are no analytics, no advertising pixels and no tracking systems on this site.
I am based in Canada, which the European Commission recognises as providing an adequate level of protection for data covered by PIPEDA. Cloudflare processes data in the United States among other places.
How long it is kept
Correspondence about enquiries that did not turn into work is deleted six months after the last message.
Correspondence about completed projects is kept for three years, for follow-up questions and record keeping.
Retention of technical logs is set by Cloudflare and is outside my control.
Cookies
The site sets one cookie of its own, lang. It stores the interface language you picked and lasts a year. It carries no identifier, tracks no behaviour and goes to nobody.
On this contact page, Cloudflare Turnstile may set its own technical cookies on challenges.cloudflare.com to verify that a human is submitting the form.
There are no analytics or advertising cookies. That is why there is no consent banner: there is nothing to ask about.
Your rights
You can ask what data I hold about you, get a copy, have inaccuracies corrected, have correspondence deleted, object to processing, or withdraw consent.
Write to ivan.senishin@gmail.com. I reply within thirty days, usually much sooner, and charge nothing for it.
If my answer does not satisfy you, you can complain to your supervisory authority: in Canada, the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada; in the European Union, your national data protection authority.
How the data is protected
The site is served over HTTPS only. There is no database of enquiries, so there is nothing to breach. Message contents never reach the logs. Only I have access to the correspondence.
Please do not send passwords, access keys or other secrets through the form. If credentials are needed for the work, we will agree on a safe way to hand them over.
Changes
If this policy changes, I update the date at the top of the page. Earlier versions are visible in the history of the site repository.
